What to bring to your first appointment
To ensure that our team can provide you with the most accurate and comprehensive care, please bring the following items to your first appointment:
1. Medicare Card
Your Medicare card is essential for processing your appointment and ensuring you receive any applicable benefits.
2. GP Referral and other correspondence
A referral from your General Practitioner or any other specialist correspondence is necessary to understand your medical history and the reason for your visit. This documentation allows your surgeon to tailor your care to your specific needs.
3. Previous Imaging
If you have any previous imaging studies, such as X-rays, MRI or CT scans, please bring these with you to your appointment. These images provide critical information about your condition and helps in diagnosing and planning your treatment.
4. Current Medications
Full list of all your current medications including prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, herbal remedies, and vitamins. This information is crucial for your surgeon to consider all aspects of your health.
Cancellation Policy
We aim to provide the best possible medical care by providing consultations within the shortest possible timeframes — especially for emergency cases. To do this, we need to be kept informed about cancellations.
We understand that plans change and that patients may need to reschedule or cancel their appointments. We try to be as flexible and accommodating as we can, so we ask that patients give as much advance notice as possible, so that we can make appointment times available for someone else on our waiting list.
At a minimum, we need at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. If we don’t hear from you in this timeframe, and you do not attend your appointment, you will be charged a cancellation fee.
